Ice Fishing

We were invited to go ice fishing with Mom and Jeff this weekend and we jumped at the chance.

 The ice house James, Boppa and Bomba built it folds down completely flat and pops up in a matter of minutes.

 We were pretty comfy in our little house everybody had their own James designated spot - his was by the window with the only round hole because thats what he told Boppa he wanted. Apparently you don't catch "Big Nornerns" out of round holes... :)  

 4 nice sized Perch and then later after we moved the house across the lake and I went home to feed Bean,

Mom, Jeff and John each caught a really nice Crappie. As John was reaching for his the pull him off the line the bugger got loose and flip flopped off both Johns boots and right back into the hole. He must have told all the fish in the lake to head somewhere else because that was the end of the fish catching.

Moving the sled across the lake James decided he should ride on the back of the snowmobile.

After John carried James to the snowmobile; I grabbed the bag of extra clothes we had packed (after hearing stories about Uncle Joe and Cousin Kassie) grabbed a new sock, put a plastic bag over the sock, my mitten over the bag and the boot shell over that. Then headed to the fish house to put on new pants. John says it was almost like we had rehearsed what to do we all were so calm and collected like it was no big deal he sticks his foot in a hole full of icewater everyday. Of course it really wasn't that big of a deal we were prepared. I can't believe what a trooper James was during all that clothes changing monkey business, he fished for another four hours like that! He even wore the mitten in his boot the next day since we had forgotten to dry out his liner...oops!

When I got home to the house around 6:30 this is how I found Bean. Completely happy content and suggly with Cousin Kassie. She said he was like this most of the time and she had him for 5 hours!

I have to again say THANK YOU KASSIE for sitting for us!!

Isn't it the absolute best to leave your baby with someone you know will be so good to him and loves him? SO glad she didn't have to work, wasn't out of town, and was so willing to watch our Bean!

 This picture is especially for Heidee and boys take a look at the picture of Sean from when he was maybe 6 mos old and compare their eyes. They must be related! :) I tried to add the picture on here but again my pic loaded sideways.

Then since John decided to use a vacation day for Mon we called up friends Nick and Amy and finagled an invite to their house to watch the Super Bowl on their projector while the kids played- We ate some Daroos Pizza, homegrown BBQ chicken wings, cheesy melty dip and chips and
James latest favorite Alligator Eyeballs. :)  mmmmmmyummy!
