Follow-up to an Aug post.

My Uncle Fred, after 23 years of service for our country, retired in Aug. The ceremony was this past Sat. We were honored to be able to share with him this bittersweet milestone in his Navy career.

They also honored my aunt Anita and the other spouses. Each retiree stated they could not have served the way they had without the love and support of their families.

It was quite an emotional day for everyone I think Fred topped it off for Grandpa with this shadow box of Grandpa's medals and commendations from his own years in the service. Complete with Grandpa's dogtags which he had no idea Fred had.
