Christmas 2 and 3

Oh my goodness did we ever have a wonderful Christmas snowstorm and all!

We started with an early Mon Christmas with just John, James and I and then a gift arrived by UPS for James from Grandpa George in TX on Weds. A beautiful wooden train set and an engineer outfit cap and whistle! He was in heaven and has told everyone about his train that is "just like Spencers."

Then Christmas Eve James and I packed up the car and got ready to head up North waiting ever so patiently for John.... he was a little late getting home due to icy roads and trying to make a new road, we made it to Solway in daylight on very icy roads but got there before the big storm.

We then headed back to Uncle Fred's cabin to have an old fashioned homemade Christmas. We had all drawn names and were to hand make all our gifts. It was so fun to see what everyone had created. Yummy goodies from cookies to homemade mustard, beer, and scnhapps. Woodwork in the form of a beautiful birdfeeder and an amazing bow rack custom bags, and decorated pillows, handknit scarves and clothes. Even handcrafted weapons; marshmallow shooters and a potatoe gun! I hope this becomes a tradition. Next year I want Adam, or Fred, or Chris, or Doug, or Heidee, or Nita, or Arianne, or Danielle, or John, or Ryan, or Jeff, or Mom, or Andy, or Kassie to have my name! Everyones gifts were AWESOME!!

Uncle Fred is quite the joker. He "planted" this tree for Adam and then gave him the directions to build a bow rack when the tree got big enough to have sawn into lumber...then he brought out the finished rack.

Four little boys ready for Santa to come. Though James wasn't quite brave enough to stay with the big boys he sure wanted to though.

Santa sure is good to us! Had a couple really great surprise gifts and tricked a couple of people who are pretty hard to trick. Adam thought he was getting a flagpole in that big ol box. HAHAH!!
John was confused when he opened a new entertainment center and still a little confused when he opened the giftcard attached he finally got it when he read the check memo....he has now been shopping for his new flatscreen. No pictures of those openings since I ran out of card memory in the video camera and had to swap out the regular camera to that.

Again Uncle Fred up to his tricks. Arianne gets a toy medical kit since she is going into nursing. But inside the medicine bottle are a pair of Jan earrings and a silver chain.
