James had a blast watching and playing with this boat that Boppa and Bomba spent Sat putting together. He then played in the tub on the table for the next day with a toy fishing set and his lizards too. It is powered by a candle burning there in the back and a boiler system made of two plastic drinking straws, some epoxy, hot glue, and a beer can the rest of the construction is a cardboard juice carton.
We must have had it running ten times over the course of a day and a half and even went up to the shop so James could show it off to Great Grandma and Grandpa J.
It's called a pop pop boat and was a popular homemade toy pre World War 2.
